Day 1 - Athens → Lima
Meet at the airport and board your flight, via connecting city, to the Peruvian capital, Lima. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. After the long journey, a bit of rest followed by dinner at the hotel will help you adjust to the new time zone and atmosphere.

Day 2 - Lima → Puerto Maldonado (Amazon)
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Puerto Maldonado, the vibrant gateway to the Amazon rainforest. Located at the confluence of the Madre de Dios and Tambopata Rivers, the city welcomes us with a short panoramic tour before we embark on a riverboat journey to our jungle lodge.
Along the way, the scenery unfolds in vivid layers of green, alive with the calls of tropical birds and the dense fragrance of the rainforest.
Upon arrival, settle into your room and enjoy lunch.
In the afternoon, join your local jungle guide for an evening exploration to spot caimans around Caimán Cocha Lake and witness a breathtaking sunset over the Amazon waters, a moment that lingers in memory long after it’s over.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 3 - Puerto Maldonado: Amazon Jungle Exploration
Early morning departure into the depths of the rainforest. Walking along marked trails through towering trees and wooden bridges, we reach Lake Sandoval, a mirror-like lagoon reflecting the sky and the dense forest canopy.
From the Observation Platform, the view is breathtaking, colorful macaws, parrots, toucans, turtles, and, with a bit of luck, the elusive giant river otters that inhabit these waters.
In the afternoon, we set out for Monkey Island, located in the heart of the Madre de Dios River. Among the lush vegetation, we’ll observe playful squirrel monkeys, capuchins, and spider monkeys in their natural environment.
As the day fades, another mesmerizing jungle sunset unfolds before us, the rainforest bathed in amber light and sound.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 - Puerto Maldonado → Cusco
Early in the morning, we board our boats back to the port and transfer to the airport for our flight to Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire.
Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and check-in. Time for rest and gentle acclimatization, as the city lies at an altitude of 3,400 meters (11,200 ft).
In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, your first taste of Cusco’s vibrant atmosphere, a city where history and modern life coexist in perfect rhythm.

Day 5 - Cusco: City Tour & Inca Monuments
Morning guided tour of Cusco, a living museum where every street tells a story, of the Inca Empire and the Spanish conquistadors who followed.
We begin at the Plaza de Armas, home to the grand Cathedral built from red granite, before continuing to the Temple of the Sun (Qorikancha), once the most sacred Inca temple, later transformed by the Spanish into the Santo Domingo Monastery.
Next, we explore the mysterious Inca sites surrounding the city: Q’enqo, a labyrinthine ceremonial shrine, Tambomachay, known for its sacred water sources, Puka Pukara, the “Red Fortress” of the Inca soldiers and the awe-inspiring Sacsayhuamán, an architectural and spiritual masterpiece overlooking Cusco.
The tour concludes with a visit to a local artisan workshop, where you’ll discover how natural ingredients, plants, fruits, and minerals, are used in traditional Peruvian nutrition, healing, and cosmetics.

Day 6 - Cusco → Sacred Valley → Pisac → Ollantaytambo → Aguas Calientes
Early departure for the Sacred Valley of the Incas, a fertile land nourished by ancient waterways, terraced fields, and salt mines, once the agricultural heart of the empire.
Our first stop is Pisac, famous for its lively Andean market, bursting with colorful textiles, handcrafts, and the scent of local spices. Here, among the smiles of villagers in traditional dress, you’ll feel the rhythm of life in the highlands.
We continue to Ollantaytambo, an impressive archaeological complex and fortress featuring steep stone terraces and the monumental Temple of the Sun, perched high above the valley.
Later, we board the Voyager train for a breathtaking journey through the Peruvian Andes, following the Urubamba River as it winds between misty mountains and green valleys, on the way to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu.

Day 7 - Aguas Calientes → Machu Picchu → Cusco
Early morning departure by shuttle buses to the “Lost City of the Incas,” the mystical Machu Picchu, hidden high among the peaks of the Andes.
Guided tour of the most iconic archaeological site in Latin America, once a place of worship, an astronomical observatory, and the royal retreat of Emperor Pachacuti.
The view is breathtaking: temples, towers, and sacred terraces rise above the clouds, surrounded by an ethereal mountain landscape that feels almost otherworldly.
After the tour, return to Aguas Calientes and board the Voyager train back to Ollantaytambo, then continue by road to Cusco.
Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Cusco.
Day 8 - Cusco → Andahuaylillas → Raqchi → Pukara → Puno
Departure for Puno, following a spectacular route across the high plains of the Andes, through small farming communities and mountain landscapes framed by snow-capped peaks.
Along the way, we’ll make several fascinating stops:
Andahuaylillas, to visit the Church of San Pedro, often called the “Sistine Chapel of the Andes” for its ornate frescoes and gold-leaf altarpiece.
Raqchi, site of the impressive Temple of Viracocha, once dedicated to the creator god of the Incas.
Pukara, an ancient administrative and ceremonial center known for its stone sculptures and ritual pottery.
Arrival in Puno late in the afternoon, transfer to the hotel for check-in, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 9 - Puno → Uros Islands → Sillustani → Flight to Lima
Morning cruise on Lake Titicaca, the world’s highest navigable lake (3,814 m / 12,513 ft), straddling the border between Peru and Bolivia.
Our boat takes us to the famous floating islands of the Uros, built entirely from totora reeds. Here, the inhabitants preserve ancient traditions, fishing, crafting, and navigating the lake in small reed boats, just as their ancestors did centuries ago.
Returning to shore, we continue to Sillustani, a pre-Incan burial site overlooking the serene Umayo Lake, renowned for its towering chullpas, circular stone funerary towers dating from 600 to 800 AD, built in honor of the noble class of the Colla culture.
Later, transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima.
Arrival and transfer to your hotel. The evening is free for a stroll or some last-minute shopping.

Day 10 - Lima City Tour
Morning tour of Lima, the “City of Kings,” founded in 1535 by Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro. Today’s capital blends its colonial past with the rhythm of a vibrant modern metropolis.
We’ll pass through the elegant districts of Miraflores and San Isidro before reaching the Plaza de Armas, with its magnificent colonial architecture and the Cathedral of Lima.
Visit the Monastery of San Francisco, famed for its vast library and underground catacombs, then continue to the Larco Museum, home to exquisite artifacts and treasures from Peru’s pre-Columbian civilizations.
Return to the hotel, dinner at a local restaurant, and overnight stay in Lima.
Day 11 - Lima → Paracas → Optional Flight over the Nazca Lines
Morning departure by road to Paracas, following a scenic four-hour drive along the Pacific coastline. The route unfolds through golden dunes, small oases, and fishing villages, revealing the ever-changing beauty of Peru’s desert landscape.
For those interested, there is an optional flight over the mysterious Nazca Lines, an experience that many travelers describe as unforgettable.
From the small Pisco airstrip, we’ll board light aircraft for a two-hour flight over the enigmatic geoglyphs depicting animals, plants, and geometric shapes spread across the desert plateau.
Their origin remains a mystery, some say they were part of ancient Incan rituals, others suggest astronomical or even extraterrestrial purposes, but the view from above is simply mesmerizing.
After landing, transfer to your hotel in Paracas for check-in, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 12 - Paracas → Ballestas Islands Cruise → Lima
Morning cruise to the Ballestas Islands, one of Peru’s most important wildlife sanctuaries.
These rocky islets host colonies of seabirds, Humboldt penguins, pelicans, cormorants, and seagulls, while sea lions and fur seals rest lazily along the shores.
During the boat trip, we’ll also admire the famous “Candelabro” geoglyph, etched into the sandy cliffs overlooking the sea. Its massive shape, resembling a trident or candelabra, continues to intrigue archaeologists and visitors alike.
After the excursion, we travel back to Lima by road. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 13 - Lima → Flight to Athens
Morning at leisure for a final stroll through Lima or some last-minute shopping.
Later, transfer to the airport and check-in for your return flight to Athens, via an intermediate stop.
Day 14 - Arrival in Athens
Arrival in the Greek capital, carrying with you vivid images, colors, and memories from a journey that united the raw nature of the Amazon, the ancient mysteries of the Incas, and the timeless culture of Peru.
